Creative Confidence
A Mini-Retreat for Cultivating Confidence, Creativity, and Community
Creative confidence is something we all need, and something many of us quietly struggle to claim.
Whether you identify as an artist, feel creatively curious, or simply long to trust yourself more fully, confidence is what allows us to begin, to share, to try, to fail, and to try again. Too often, fear, comparison, and an overactive inner critic stop our creative ideas before they ever have a chance to take shape.
This one-day mini-retreat invites you into a supportive, encouraging space to reconnect with your creative voice and grow confidence from the inside out through mindful movement, creative expression, and community.
Through yoga, clay, raku, and ritual, we’ll explore what it means to trust yourself, to create without perfection, and to step into your creative capacity with courage, curiosity, and care.
WHAT?
A one-day mini-retreat weaving together yoga, clay, and creative exploration.
Together we will:
Explore creative confidence as a shared, human experience
Move and breathe through mindful yoga and meditation to explore fear and self-doubt
Create a handbuilt mirror frame as a symbol of seeing yourself more clearly and compassionately
Work with flashing raku glazes, embracing unpredictability, experimentation, and trust
Practice sharing and creating in community, allowing encouragement and connection to strengthen confidence
Gently challenge the inner critic and creative censor so you can step forward and create, even when it feels scary
WHO is this for?
This retreat is for:
Creatives who want to deepen trust in their creative voice
Anyone feeling stuck, hesitant, or blocked by fear or self-doubt
Artists who want to grow confidence through community rather than comparison
Those longing to take creative risks and put themselves out there, even imperfectly
Anyone curious about how creative confidence can ripple into other areas of life
No prior yoga or pottery experience is needed. All bodies, identities, and creative paths are welcome.
WHEN?
Saturday, March 21 | 10am-4pm
WHERE?
SP Gallery, 7431 Military Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002
WHY?
Confidence is key to taking action. It grows when we feel supported, encouraged, and safe enough to try.
When we create in community, we borrow confidence from one another. In moments when we can’t be our own biggest cheerleader, being surrounded by others who see us and support us can make all the difference.
By working with clay, mirrors, and fire, you’ll practice trusting yourself, embracing experimentation, and allowing imperfections to be part of the process. As you strengthen confidence in your creative life, that trust often spills into your relationships, your work, and your willingness to take meaningful action in the world.
Together, we’ll hold space for confidence not as something you have to prove, but as something you get to practice, grow, and share.

Meet the Hosts
Holly Zajur
Holly Zajur is a wellness educator, potter, and host of How the Wise One Grows podcast. She has been practicing and teaching yoga and mindfulness for over a decade, weaving these practices together to help people cultivate creative confidence, self-trust, and a deeper sense of agency in their lives.
Holly’s work is rooted in the belief that creativity is essential not just for artists, but for anyone navigating change, building something meaningful, or learning to trust themselves more fully. As an artist, entrepreneur, and graduate student in mental health counseling, she understands firsthand the courage it takes to put yourself out there, follow creative impulses, and step into new roles without certainty or perfection.
Through retreats, pottery, movement, writing, and mentorship, Holly supports others in reconnecting with their creative voice and learning how confidence can be practiced in community. She believes creativity helps us reimagine what is possible, strengthen our capacity for resilience and agency, and participate more intentionally in shaping a more compassionate and connected world.
She is honored to hold space where people can soften the inner critic, trust themselves more deeply, and tap into the creative confidence needed to create lives and worlds that feel more authentic and alive.
Kourtenay Plummer
Kourtenay Plummer discovered her passion for pottery at a young age and pursued her love for clay throughout her college years. With a strong commitment to education, Kourtenay taught art to children for many years, an experience that continues to shape her approach to making and sharing work.
In 2020, Kourtenay made the decision to step away from teaching and dedicate herself fully to her studio practice. Through this journey, she found that confidence in creativity became a grounding force. For her, it’s exercise to believe in the artwork, but that belief can help to fuel further experimentation and growth.
Kourtenay owns an art gallery and pottery studio, SP Gallery, in Amelia County. Her passion for art and education continues to inspire and cultivate creative connection within her community.
Meet the Space
SP Gallery is a stunning destination encompassing an art gallery, a pottery studio, an art market and an antique showroom. Guided by the artistic vision of the father-daughter duo, Kevin and Kourtenay Plummer, this space bloomed out of grief and loss.
Both Kevin and Kourtenay were at a crossroads with their careers after the sudden losses of three very important people in their lives, including Kourtenay’s mother and Kevin’s wife, Deb. SP Gallery stands as a testament to coping with creativity, community, collaboration, and strength.
This unique space offers visitors the opportunity to explore a diverse range of artistic outlets and find inspiration in both contemporary and traditional works.
