Rooted
A clay & yoga retreat for reconnecting with self & the earth
Join Holly & Kourtenay for a day of earthy exploration through clay, movement, and meditation. In this grounding retreat, we’ll work with the raw elements through movement & meditation, scraffito (carving), and Obvara firing—to peel back the layers, reconnect to the roots of ourselves, and honor our reciprocal relationship with the Earth.
Through guided mindfulness, embodied movement, and creative clay practices, you’ll be invited to slow down, listen inward, and create from a place of deep connection.
Let your hands get messy. Let your body move freely. Let your spirit come home.

Carve, create, and fire your intentions into something lasting

Imagine Your Day
-
We’ll begin with a grounding yoga, meditation, and creative reflection practice—an invitation to slow down, land in your body, and reconnect with the earth beneath you. This opening practice will gently guide you into the present moment, helping you release distractions and tune into what’s stirring within, so you can root into the day with clarity and intention.
-
In this hands-on session, you’ll explore the meditative art of scraffito—a process of carving through the surface of clay to reveal what lies beneath. As we etch into our pieces, we’ll reflect on what layers we’re ready to shed and what truths we’re uncovering. No experience needed—just a willingness to explore, express, and connect.
-
Enjoy a nourishing lunch and take some time for personal reflection and prepare for the letting go firing. Explore inspiration stations where different creative mediums are available for you to create, set intentions, or simply rest. This time allows you to intuitively guide yourself through what you need, without formal instruction.
-
We will weave the energy of the five elements and letting go into Obvara firing. As the fire transforms your piece, this ritual will serve as a metaphor for releasing and transforming.
-
Complete your vessel and gather with your community for a final reflection. This space will allow you to share insights and experiences while considering how to integrate the tools and healing practices from the day into your ongoing journey.
